Etherlaken.info is an informational website serving as the entry point for early pioneers engaging with the Etherlaken initiative — a Web3 project based in Interlaken, Switzerland. The design challenge wasn't complex technically, but it was delicate contextually: how do you communicate something ambitious and early-stage in a way that feels credible rather than speculative?
With a 2-week timeline, there was no room for discovery drift. I started with content structure before any visual decisions — defining what a first-time pioneer needs to know, in what order, and at what level of depth. The reading flow was designed so users could orient quickly and go deeper without needing guidance. Foundational concepts first, context and detail on scroll.
The visual language was intentionally derived from Interlaken's physical location — alpine landscapes, lakes, open skies, and natural light. This wasn't decorative: grounding the project in a real, tangible place reinforced credibility in an environment where early-stage Web3 initiatives often feel untethered. The palette, typography choices, and photography direction all reference the calm, measured quality of the Swiss Alps. Design inspiration from the natural environment gave the brand a long-term anchor it could grow into.
